Bright Legend got off the mark at the second time of asking at the Curragh on Sunday for owner K K Ho.

Ridden by jockey Joey Sheridan, Bright Legend raced prominently throughout the race before showing signs of greeness in the final furlong. Gathered together by his jockey, he went on to score by three-quarters of a length.

“He stays well and likes that ground. He’s a very big horse and still has a lot of maturing to do. He’ll probably be a better horse next year.

“We’ll probably try and find a winners’ race for him.

“He ran away from the whip and he did well to get him organised again. He gave him a good ride.” Fozzy Stack
