Tooreen Legend has six wins under his belt for owner Jim O’Brien including the Ladies Derby at the Curragh and it appears the owner has another nice type on his hands in Legend’s half-sister Tooreen Dancer.

The Vale Of York filly was bought by O’Brien for just €6,500 at Tattersalls Ireland September sales. She made a winning debut under Wayne Lordan in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Dundalk on Wednesday evening.

To the great credit of Tooreen Dancer she toughed it out well. “Every time we did a bit of work with her earlier in the year she weakened off, and it’s only in the last two months that she has held her weight.

“On her breeding she should be suited by a mile to a mile and a quarter next year.” jockey, Wayne Lordan
