Decorated My Life showed a willing attitude to win her maiden at Navan on Wednesday afternoon for owners Mrs Paul Shanahan and Mrs M V Magnier.
Racing prominently throughout the extended five furlong contest, the daughter of Mehmas made good headway in the closing stages under Andrew Slattery and went on to win by a neck with the third four lengths back.
“She had a nice run the first day in the Curragh and I probably overfaced her a couple of times after that. The ground is what it is and they are getting through it – better than it being tacky.
“I’d say we’ll leave her alone now for the year. It’s hard work up there today and I’d say she’ll get a bit further.” Fozzy Stack.
