image26 resizedDiamonds Fields got off the mark yesterday evening in the 6f maiden at Dundalk. She tracked the leaders early, 5th at halfway, made smooth progress into the straight, travelled well to challenge 1f out, led 150 yards out and kept on well to win by 1/2l.

“We thought she’d have won her maiden by now. She works like a filly with a lot of talent,” said Lordan, irishracing.com.

“She travelled well but when she got to the front she pricked her ears.

“I think all the racing she can get will improve her and she could be a smart filly next year. She just needs plenty of racing for education.”
