Galkina showed the benefit of her debut run when coming out on top in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden at Listowel.
Wayne Lordan had the daughter of Pour Moi up with the pace throughout and she stayed on strongly inside the final furlong.
Galkina had three and a quarter lengths to spare at the line over Pink Jeanie, with Latchet another length and a half away in third.
“Obviously she handled the ground and she stays well. My mother, along with Sue Magnier, bred her.
“Seeing as we have the mare, we will probably look for some black type. She is from a staying family.” Fozzy Stack
