Pita Pinta got off the mark in good style winning her maiden at Gowran Park on Wednesday afternoon under jockey Chris Hayes for owner and co-breeder Sir Francis Brooke.

Racing towards the rear of the field, the daughter of Sir Percy made good headway inside the final two furlongs and went on to win the seven furlong contest by 1¼ lengths.

“She’s a nice filly and we liked her during the lockdown. She got a break during the summer.

“It’s obviously testing conditions but she put her experience to good use.

“She’s a filly you would like to have for next year.” jockey, Chris Hayes.
