Queen Rabab broke her maiden in what was a thrilling finished at Dundalk Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Owned by the Pension Fund II Syndicate, the daughter of Fastnet Rock chased the leaders, before taking closer order after one furlong. Ridden to lead under two furlongs out Queen Rabab battled well to win in a tight three way finish.

“She showed a little bit last year but takes things far too easy. It was a good call by Fozzy to put the cheek-pieces on. He thought they might help me first time in a handicap and they did.

“She travelled really nice. They didn’t go that quick and she ground it out. She had a good look around and it was nice to get her up on the line.” said jockey, Chris Hayes.
