Two Stars got off the mark at the second time of asking winning his maiden at Cork for his owner/breeders Mrs Anne Gaffney, Mrs T Gaffney and Liam J Butler.

Ridden by jockey Mark Enright, Two Stars disputed the lead towards the far side of the track, led narrowly after halfway, began his challenge under 2f out and kept on well towards near side to win by 1¼ lengths.

“He did it well and is still green. He was a bit unlucky here the last day when he fell out of the gates and is a fast horse.

“He will go on better ground but won’t get a yard beyond six furlongs and might end up being better over five. He will develop into a nice sprinter in time.

“We’ll look for a handicap mark now and with sprinters they need practice.” Fozzy Stack.
