Woody Creek followed up her win at Naas with another at Cork on Wednesday evening when taking the Matchbook Exchange Rated Race under jockey Andrew Slattery for owner Craig Bernick.

A daughter of Zoffany, Woody Creek was settled behind the leaders before progressing to lead over a furlong out and went on to win by two and a half lengths.

“She did it well and is just starting to get her confidence back. Hopefully she keeps progressing and we’ll see where we go next. She holds an entry for the Ballyogan Stakes and I wouldn’t rule it out, an owner-breeder (Craig Bernick) owns her.” trainer, Fozzy Stack

Woody Creek was purchased by De Burgh Equine for €180,000 at the 2017 Goffs Orby Sale and is a half-sister to Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes winner Abel Handy.
