Pita Pinta finished with a flourish to secure a quick follow up win at Galway for her owner Sir Francis Brooke.

The daughter of Sir Percy won at Navan last Wednesday and turned out again today under a 6lb penalty.

Chris Hayes was rowing along in third turning for home today but Pita Pinta picked up well in the straight, she lead in the final furlong and pulled away late on for a five length win.

“We’ve had very patient owners because of the dry summer and she grows a leg on that ground. I thought she was really well placed by Fozzy.

“She is out of a good jumping mare so he said she might go jumping so we’ll see, but I’d be hoping he’ll keep her in training for the spring of next year. She goes so well on that ground, there could be a nice pot in her.” Chris Hayes
