On Wednesday Pita Pinta recorded her second career win at Navan in the Like Navan On Facebook Handicap for owner Sir Francis Brooke.
The three-year-old daughter of Sir Percy won a Gowran maiden on heavy ground last October and today, on her third start of the year, was produced by jockey Chis Hayes to lead inside the final furlong and win by three and a quarter lengths.
“Her mother Bantam ran well in the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham (fifth behind Limini in 2016) so that might be something that we could look at and see if she can jump.
“She stays well and she likes the ground. The owners have been very patient with the dry summer.
“She’s in at Galway again on Monday and she might go there.” Fozzy Stack.
